A VALUE CHAIN ANALYSIS ON MILKFISH COMMODITY IN SIDOARJO, EAST JAVA

This study is aimed to describe the mapping of milkfish especially processed in Sidoarjo and determine improvement value chain. The identification actors, activities, profits margins obtained by each actor presented along with a chain strategy. research method used analysis. findings showed that actors involved were cultivators, borg, collectors, processors consumers. Processor B largest margin IDR 55,000 51.4%. second processor A 32,000 or 28.6%. cultivators get 15,000 14.02%. collectors 2,000 1.87%. Meanwhile, borg received 3,000 2.8%. difference between collectors’ not too far away because selling price has been determined market fish still fresh undamaged.
